1. Measure
With gloves on, pour the resin and hardener into the mixing container in the ratio 2:1 by volume — for example, 200ml resin and 100ml hardener. Have your workspace, colours and tools fully ready before you begin — the faster cure leaves less time to prepare once mixing starts.
2. Mix
Stir well for at least 3 minutes, scraping the sides and bottom as you go. Try not to whip air into the mix while stirring. Any unmixed material will leave sticky spots that won't cure. Once mixed, you'll have about 30–40 minutes of working time before the resin thickens and starts to cure — work with purpose.
3. Pour & Shape
Pour or scoop the resin onto your surface and shape it quickly. Unlike thinner resins, HV will not self-level — this is intentional. Use a palette knife, silicone brush or gloved hands to build up waves, peaks, ridges and texture as desired. This is what makes it perfect for ocean art, geode designs and layered dimensional work. Pop any surface bubbles with a brief pass of a heat gun.
4. Wait
Leave your piece in a dust-free space while it cures. The resin will be dry to the touch in 3–4 hours and ready to handle in 5–6 hours. It will be fully cured within 24 hours.
5. Clean Up
To reuse your mixing tools, wipe them down with a paper towel before the resin dries. Act quickly — the faster cure means residue on your tools hardens sooner than with other resins.
